Addiction is all around us. I think in a way every human is an addict. We are all addicted to sin, but it shows up differently in each person's life. It can be drugs or alcohol or food or approval or recognition or sex or work or social media or tobacco or even video games. This poem is not about a particular addiction, but is instead about the addicted soul and its search for healing and wholeness.
